JOB DESCRIPTION
The CAD Designer will primarily support the manufacturing process through the creation of high-quality, initial and production drawings, working closely with the Sales and Production departments.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, creative, CAD Designer to join our Huddersfield based team. The successful candidate must be conscientious about the work they produce and possess good attention to detail.
With 1+ years of experience working in a CAD Design environment, preferably in mechanical engineering; experience within the stairlift industry would be an advantage although not essential.
This is a full-time, permanent position. A competitive salary plus benefits are offered with the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to interpret survey data to create an accurate CAD model of bespoke staircases
- Develop custom drawings for a high-standard rail with optimum fit
- Create and develop fully detailed drawings for both customer and Production use, ensuring the drawings and specification sheets are accurate to dimensions
- Ensure that safety and environmental compliance are adhered to within the design
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- With a minimum of 1+ years experience in 3D CAD Design, essentially with experience of using Solidworks software
- A recognised qualification in CAD design
- Must be able to communicate effectively as part of a team
- Ability to adapt and able to work under pressure
